An apology for absence was received from Councillor R Smith, Councillor J Doughty attended as a substitute.

Members are reminded to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests in any of the items under consideration at this meeting in accordance with the Town Council’s code of conduct.

Councillor J Aitman declared a personal, non-prejudicial interest in Planning Application 26/01592/FUL owing to being a resident of Eton Close.

To receive and consider a schedule of Planning Applications from West Oxfordshire District Council.

The Committee received and considered a schedule of planning applications from West Oxfordshire District Council.

Resolved:

That, the comments, as per the attached schedule be forwarded to West Oxfordshire District Council.

To receive and consider a Pavement Licence Application for Ye Olde Cross Keys. Market Square under the Business and Planning Act 2020. 

The Committee received and considered an application for a pavement licence for Ye Olde Cross Keys, Market Square, Witney.

Resolved:

That, a no objection response be forwarded to the licencing team at West Oxfordshire District Council.

To consider a response to the review of speed limits on Oxfordshire A & B Roads. As deferred from the meeting of the Council on 13 July 20206 (Minute FC382 relates)

Following deferment from the meeting of the Council (Minute FC382 13.07.2026 relates) the Committee considered the correspondence received from Oxfordshire County Council regarding a consultation of proposed rural speed limit changes.

Members generally supported the proposals, noting that the recommendations appeared proportionate and aimed at improving road safety.
