Apologies for Absence

To consider apologies and reasons for absence.

 

Committee members who are unable to attend the meeting should notify the Committee Clerk derek.mackenzie@witney-tc.gov.uk prior to the meeting, stating the reason for absence.

 

Standing Order 30(a)(v) permits the appointment of substitute Councillors to a Committee whose role is to replace ordinary Councillors at a meeting of a Committee if ordinary Councillors of the Committee have confirmed to the Proper Officer before the meeting that they are unable to attend.

Minutes:

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors L Cherry & O Collins.

 

Councillors D Newcombe and A Bailey arrived at 17:43pm and 18:06pm respectively.

Members are reminded to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests in any of the items under consideration at this meeting in accordance with the Town Council’s code of conduct.

There were no declarations of interest from members or officers.

Public Participation

The meeting will adjourn for this item.

 

Members of the public may speak for a maximum of five minutes each during the period of public participation, in line with Standing Order 42.  Matters raised shall relate to the following items on the agenda.

There was no public participation. However, two members of the public joined the meeting at 18:20pm.

To consider submitting High Street & Market Square design-shaping feedback in response to Oxfordshire County Council’s engagement on the project.

The Council considered the response to be submitted to Oxfordshire County Council in respect of the public engagement being carried out to improve the High Street & Market Square area.

 

Members were reminded that all households, approx. 15,000 received a leaflet advising of the public engagement and they were encouraged to ensure that as many as their constituents participate in the process including those that do not live in the town but visit to use its resources. Members were reminded that paper copies of the survey were available from the Town Council reception for those that could not complete it online.

 

Members were also advised that as well as the Town Council response they could also submit an individual response.

 

Resolved:

 

That, the attached be forwarded to Oxfordshire County Council being the Town Council’s official response to the public engagement questionnaire.
