Issue - meetings

At the Annual Council meeting held on 13 May 2020 a new Committee Structure was agreed.  This resulted in the realigning of work load on the Halls & Green Spaces Committee into two new Committees – Sport & Play and ‘Amenities’.  It also incorporated the work of the Climate & Biodiversity Sub-Committee into the Planning & Development Committee forming the new Committee – Climate, Biodiversity & Planning Committee.

Members are requested to finalise the Committee names at this meeting, as the renaming of the ‘Amenities’ Committee was deferred to this meeting.

Members considered the appointment of new standing committees in accordance with standing Order 30. Members agreed the committee structure, as presented at the Annual Council Meeting be correct. Following a suggestion from a member,  the estates and amenities committee was named ‘Halls, Cemeteries and Allotments’.  

RESOLVED:

That the Standing Committees of Witney Town Council, as outlined at the Annual Council Meeting on 13 May 2020 be agreed; and,

That the committee concerned with the Council’s estate be named, The Halls, cemeteries & Allotments Committee.
